We also provide professionally trained service staff to accompany your delivery to set up, serve and clean up at your event, if you’d rather not lift a finger!

Foodinis has decades of experience catering at unique locations such as Farms, private estates & museums as well as more traditional locations such as halls, homes and businesses. Early Beginnings
Growing up in the 70’s with Processed Cheese Food and Canned green beans doesn’t seem like the ideal seed bed for a young culinary mind to sprout. Look deeper though, and his early desire to eat fresher was just possibly what was needed to grow John’s gastronomical roots. John has had a passion for all things culinary since he was a young boy, coming home from elementary school and watching The Galloping Gourmet & Julia Child preparing amazing food from scratch. The Food & Love connection was born as the young, aspiring chef watched in awe of these pioneers, creating their gastronomic delicacies.

Teen Years
Fast forward through the 1980’s teen years, John climbed up the ranks from dishwasher to pizza guy, to lunch cook, learning the ropes in the school of hard knocks in amazing restaurants in Woodstock, NY; where the chef grew up. Chef Deatcher attended The Culinary Institute of America, graduating in 1996 and soon after, the young Chef set sail on a few cruise ship stints, traveled abroad, and finally landed in NJ in 1999.
The Grind
After 2 years of working in a couple of great Monmouth county restaurants, John was looking for something different, and so Foodinis Personal Chef Service was born! The business naturally progressed and by 2007, John purchased and built out his catering commissary allowing him to grow and offer full service event catering and corporate catering deliveries.


Giving Opportunities
John is very passionate about sharing his 4 decades of culinary experience, including skills learned at the CIA, and he tends to hire young, aspiring chefs, hungry to learn the tricks of the trade. Chef Joe (pictured above revealing our signature Paella), has been with Foodinis since 2011, starting as a delivery person, with no culinary experience. Joe worked his way up to Executive Sous Chef and now pretty much runs the show. Chef John also loves teaching and offering opportunities to special needs and the less fortunate, for whom he's hired in various positions throughout the company's inception.
